wiomio stream

 

Explain what the problem is...

What can I do?

  • Planting

  • Pick up rubbish by the stream

  • Recycling

  • Put up signs


How does that help?

  • Each action explains how it helps the river.

The problem is that the stream is polluted by cow poo rubbish and pesticide sprays.

I can't pick up rubbish or plant trees or put up signs because I don't live in Kawakawa but I can recycle.




Recycling helps reduce plastic use and prevents plastic from entering the creek's rivers and streams.

    Good on you for highlighting the problems of the Waiomio stream. Rubbish, particularly plastic is a real issue in our waterways. How do you recycle stuff? Have you got any suggestions?
