Tomorrow When the War Began.

 Text Type - Novel

Text Title - Tomorrow when the war began

Author - Jon Marsden.

A group of friends go camping during a big festival that everyone else would be at. Once the group returned they found that no one was around and discovered something horrible. They find that everyone has been captured at the showgrounds where the festival was being held. The group come up with different ideas on how to stop them but mostly fail. They get shot at, chased, separated and even have to sacrifice themselves to save the others.

Read it to find out more.

This story made me think about taking things for granted and to expect the unexpected. Never take things for granted because you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Expect the unexpected at all times, do you think Ukraine expected Russia to invade them and just blow them up? Because I definitely didn't.

when Ellie blew up the lawn mower with a line of gas along the grass leading up to the gas tank. Once the gas had reached the gas tank the lawn mower blew into smithereens which badly injured the soldiers and possibly killed them.

I give this book a 3 because I didn't really like the story line. It's a bit too long to get to the point. The author used good language but took too long to explain the main idea which made me a little bit bored. I think the author should have sped up the pace by moving on from an idea rather than dragging it on for 2 or 3 chapters on some events.

Tomorrow When the war began. Hell

Ellie:”Let's just try one more step.”

 Ellie:”threes my lucky number”

Corrie:”Can you hear what I hear?”

Fi:”It's a nice creek”

SST assessment.

North Korea and New Zealand government

NZ government:

The government of NZ is Jacinda ardern she is apart of the labour party. Jacinda ardern makes decisions on behalf of our country. In NZ when a law is thought of NZ labour can pretty much make them up because they are in control of all the roles which are required to pass a law.

North Korean government. The government in north Korea is harsh and has very strict rules the people are scared to vote there current leader out because he is powerful and he can get them killed if they do anything against him. There government has

North Korean people can only have 15 different haircuts but NZ can have whatever they want NZ has all round internet but north Korea can't because their government shuts it down at a certain time. North Korea can drive at 18 and NZ can drive at 16.

Both countries can vote at 18 only one person represents the government.

there are many types of metal but the most used ones are steel, copper, brass, gold, silver and stainless steel.

my goal for this subject was to learn more about metals and i definitely achieved that goal.

human rights.

This is my slide of human rights. To me human rights means equality between every race type, skin colour, and sexuality. It means that everyone should be treated equally. I have made a video about it. Its about some of the people that made human rights law. My favourite person in my slide is Cyrus the great because he fought in a big massive war that went on for a very long time. eventually he won the war. he said to his slaves that they could leave and choose to be whoever they wanted to be. They could go believe what ever they wanted and let them go.

Science for this term.

Science this term we have been learning about the five kingdoms and they are animal plant fungi protista and Monera.
The main phyla for animals is arthropoda. The number of arthropods on Earth today is 3.7 million species. It includes animals with jointed limbs and an exoskeleton made of chitin.
Omnivores, carnivores, herbivores and decomposers are all types of consumers. Herbivores are living things that only eat plants to get the food and energy they need. Animals like elephants, cows, rabbits, and horses are herbivores. Carnivores are living animals that only eat meat, examples are lions, whales, hawks and many others. Omnivores are animals that eat both meat and vegetables. They do not mind what they eat. Some examples are humans, pigs, fish, wetas and lots of birds.
Blue whale
Scientific name: Balaenoptera musculus
Phylum: Chordata

Classification: Mammal

Lifespan (in wild): 80-90 years

The blue whale, the largest living mammal alive today,is rare to see and is endangered due to whaling back in the day. They are big, about 70 to 110 ft in length and are around 150 tonnes in weight.
The baby blue whales are about 25 ft in length and weight about 3 tonnes after living with the mother for about a year.

wiomio stream

Explain what the problem is...

What can I do?

  • Planting

  • Pick up rubbish by the stream

  • Recycling

  • Put up signs

How does that help?

  • Each action explains how it helps the river.

The problem is that the stream is polluted by cow poo rubbish and pesticide sprays.

I can't pick up rubbish or plant trees or put up signs because I don't live in Kawakawa but I can recycle.

Recycling helps reduce plastic use and prevents plastic from entering the creek's rivers and streams.
